A really delicious day
This one-day tour is an activity aimed towards demonstrating the gastronomy of La Rioja; not just wine. The day combines different visits where you can watch how they make cured meats, prepare typical Rioja dishes and extract olive oil in the traditional manner.
Besides tasting different products from Rioja, visitors will be able to buy them where they are made.
A whole day
Gastronomic tour lasting a full day which includes transport, meals and a tour guide.
Cured meat factory
Visit a charcuterie factory and watch how they make bacon, cured pork loin or chorizo, basic products in Rioja gastronomy.
(Can be changed for a visit to a winery).
Cooking course
Participate in a cooking course supervised by a chef from La Rioja and learn how to prepare traditional dishes with a modern touch.
Lunch in a restaurant
Enjoy the food made during the course with other specialities prepared by the chef, accompanied by a good Rioja wine.
Visit an olive press
Visit a 100-year-old olive press in a charming village and learn how olive oil is extracted in the traditional way.
Oil tasting
Enjoy an oil-tasting experience of virgin olive oil from the different varieties in the region, a basic product of Mediterranean gastronomy.
Places, group and timetables
This tour visits different places in Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa as well as the city of Logroño, where the cooking course is held and visitors have lunch.
It is an exclusive tour with a group of no more than eight people and it is offered in Spanish, English, German or Portuguese.
The gastronomic day starts at approximately 9.00 a.m. and ends at about 5:30 p.m. Participants are picked up in the morning and taken back to their hotel in the afternoon.
