Wine tourism experience

Approximate timing: Three hours and a half.
Location: Fuenmayor.
Languages: Tours can be carried out in Spanish, English or German⁽¹⁾
Reduced groups: Maximum 15 people (bigger groups, please consult).
Description: Journey to the vineyards in a van.
Explanations on the different parts of the vine, the weather, the terroir.
Description of the task that you will carry out together with the importance on the quality of wine (activities will vary depending on the time of the year). Time to practice the mentioned activity (material and tools will be provided).
Typical snack in the vineyard.
Arrival to the 18^th century traditional winery. Explanations and practice of the winemaking process in the winery.
Wine tasting.
One bottle of wine as souvenir will be given at the end of the journey.

Wine tasting courses

Approximate timing: Two hours.
Location: Fuenmayor.
Languages: Tasting courses can be carried out in Spanish, English, or German.
Groups: To guarantee availability of a tasting course a minimum party of 6 persons is needed.
Contents: Introduction of the wines, vintages, and varieties. Sensorial analysis and related vocabulary (flavour, texture, bouquet, colour). Learn to distinguish the different types of wines. Evolution of the wines along time. Defects in wine. Preservation and presentation habits. Matching: Selection of a wine for a dish.
The course includes didactic material.
